As the download project at http://deseretbook.com/free is winding down, I’m please to report that over 100,000 books have been downloaded. I expect soon to have more information on the sales of these books so that we can measure whether the free downloads had any impact on sales.

In a future study it would be very interesting to survey the people who downloaded the books to determine if the free book downloads had any educational impact. Of those 100,000 book downloads, how many have been read in their entirety? How many have been read even a little? Because we didn’t collect any information on those who downloaded books (to encourage downloads) we cannot do this study at this point. But I think it would make for a good one in the future.
