My name is John Hilton III. I manage the public-facing websites and social media efforts for the Seminary and Institute programs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (Disclosure: this blog is in no way represents my employer). I recently complete a PhD. in Instructional Psychology and Technology from BYU, and before that earned an M.Ed from Harvard. My research interests center around open education and open access. I’m particularly interested in how free digital distribution of books affects the distribution and impact of those books, as well as their print sales. Other research interests include using social media and crowdsourcing.
